PEL Powder Coating & Engineering

History

The P.E.L Powder Coating Division was established in 1973 as Powdat Enamellers Ltd. by our Managing Director, Graham Mather and specialises in electrostatic powder coating for general manufacturing industries and, in the last 20 years, increasingly to the architectural industry. We undertook powder coating of items such as drainage systems, signs, display units, lighting, balconies, barriers and a wide variety of components which need protection from external conditions.

In 2006 the Powdat Enamellers Limited and R.A.M Engineering UK Limited, a sister company also owned by our MD, were amalgamated under the name Powdat Enamellers Limited to improve efficiency, provide a better service to the customers and lower costs.

Established for many years in the business of multi-metal pressings, facbrications and the manufacture of products for the leisure and personnel lift industries, the P.E.L Engineering Division creates quality products for industries such as caravans, construction vehicles and leisure, as well as the domestic product sector and many more.

We create a wide variety of components from door lock covers and fire department lift keys to camping tables, ladders and bunk mechanisms for caravans. As well as this the Engineering Division also has its own in-house toolmakers, creating the tooling used to create the components made by the company and also creating press tools for other companies who need these services.

P.E.L now employs almost 40 staff and reports a turnover in excess of £1.5m in a modern 30,000 sq. ft. purpose built factory situated on the Finedon Road Industrial Estate in Wellingborough.
